Diatonic Scale

什麼是大調和小調?

  • Major scale
    • 1st – Tonic (key note)
    • 2nd – Supertonic
    • 3rd – Mediant
    • 4th – Subdominant
    • 5th – Dominant
    • 6th – Submediant
    • 7th – Leading tone
    • 8th – Tonic (Octave)

Minor scales

小調的三種模式:自然/和聲/旋律小音階!

  • natural minor scale
  • harmonic minor scale
  • melodic minor scale

Diatonic chords

【Wen吉他誌】彈吉他必學的「順階和弦」
For example, in C major scale, we get:
C - Dm - Em - F - G - Am - B°
These sequence is form diatonic scale, and called diatonic chords.
And we know the root, thus we write roman symbol for any major scale
I - ii - iii - IV - V - vi - vii°

For A harmonic minor scale, we get:
Am - B° - C+ - D° - E - F - G°
Also, in roman symbol
i - ii° - III+ - iv° - V - VI - vii°

Inversion of Diatonic chords
